What Makes Stunning Jewellery Designs

What makes jewellery designs stunning? How can we judge a set of jewellery to another? Why can’t all jewellery have the same price, or if they are of the same quality and made, why are their prices different? These are the questions that ordinary people and people engaged in the business are always interested to give a final answer. In fact, the reply to any of these questions is much more difficult than we think they are.

There are many reasons why jewelry is accorded with different price tags, or reciprocally, why price tags are not always be a determinant of jewelry’s qualities. First, the materials from which the jewelry is made from have to be considered. Copper or brass bracelets would not command the same amount as of, say, gold or silver. In the same
way that pebbles strewn on the beaches would not be as valuable as sapphires or emeralds. The rarer the materials, the precious the jewelry become.

Second, the design has a lot of responsibility to do with the eventual beauty of the jewelry. A diamond imperfectly shaped and cut would not earn a second glance that a diamond of perfect geometric symmetry and luster would. Consequently, the details that went to the design would make a simple jewelry be more expensive and stunning; as what they say, the devil is in the details.

Lastly, the reputation of the jeweler would also make a difference. An unknown master would not have czars or queens as patrons. Not that known jewelers always make the best pieces, it’s just that they have credibility from which they can bank on to increase the prices of their items.
